The Navy held eight open house public meetings in Washington, Oregon, Northern California, and southeastern Alaska to provide information, answer questions, and give the public an opportunity to comment on the Draft Supplemental EIS/OEIS. The public arrived at any time between 5 and 8 p.m., as there was not a presentation or formal oral comment session. Navy representatives were available at each poster station to discuss the Proposed Action and the Draft Supplemental EIS/OEIS. A stenographer was available to transcribe one-on-one oral comments; written comments were submitted at any time during the meetings.
